1st radio talk show - All about the Justin Animal Alliance

Tonight is the very first program of our New radio talk show for animal lovers!  It is going to be all about the Justin Animal Alliance so you can know who we are and how we got stated.  After tonight we will have a different topic and guest speakers for future shows. We ran for two hours.  It was longer than we expected but we needed the practice.  Our new format will be more of an interview of our guest speaker(s) and topic.  More of a question and answer format.  If there is a subject you would like us to cover please let us know.

This radio program is for anyone who has ever wanted to start an animal rescue, currently runs a rescue or shelter, would like to volunteer at a rescue or shelter, would like to promote spay/neutering, end euthanasia of healthy animals, change legislation for the benefit of animal, and anyone who loves animals. Some of the topics we will discuss –

1.       The Justin Animal Alliance – How we started our rescue, help we received along the way from established rescues and shelters in doing our paperwork, receiving food donations, setting up adoption events and more.
2.       Affordable Spay/Neuter Programs – What programs are out there and how to put together programs in your area.  Including vacation clinics.

3.       Director of a no-kill shelter – How they got started as well as the services they provide to the general public. The general ins and outs of running a no kill shelter and how we can open more of them.
4.       Director of a city Shelter that does euthanize – The ins and outs of City Run shelters, Animal euthanasia , problems they have as well as solutions they have come up with that they would like to share.  How the public can help, some opportunities exist to volunteer from the comfort of your home for people who have social networking skills.
5.       Urgent Animals in the DFW area – Euthanasia lists for DFW area animals.  How these programs started, the purpose of them and how people can volunteer to help the animals on these lists. 
6.       Metroport Humane Society – A rescue without walls.  This is a solely volunteer project with animals in foster care by volunteers and posted on a group site.  Will highlight the group as a model to start other such rescues as well as the help they provide their community with their spay/neuter programs.
7.       The students at the Art Institute of Dallas and their class film Projects – This program is to let nonprofits in the DFW area know about the resources that The Art Institute of Dallas offers to this area.  How Nonprofits can submit their project ideas for students to vote on which topics they chose to cover.  How they work with the chosen nonprofit and subject for the length of their class.  From the submission of the ideas to completed project.
8.       Animal transport groups – What they do and why they exist.  How private citizens who own  private airplanes are volunteering their time and energy to help animals in shelters get adopted and to transport animals in emergency evacuations like major hurricanes or fires.
9.       Pet Loss and Grief support Groups and workshops – Talking about pet loss and grief as well as programs available to the public.
10.    Animal Hording – Experts in animal hording to talk about what it is, why people have this problem and how they can get help.  Workshops are also provided to the public on animal hording.
11.    Lost Pets – When a pet is lost time is of the essence. There are a number of resources available that can assist people in finding a lost or missing pet.
12.    Fun Topics – Animal and pet owner social events, dog parks, dog bakeries and more.
13.    Petco and Petsmart – adoption programs and how petshops have gone from selling animals to adoption centers.
14.    Ask the Vet – Q and A for program Vet (Dr. Henderson) and Vet Tips
15.    Rescue stories – Talented rescue dogs that preform and volunteer with sick or elderly, etc.
